Return to the body’s intelligence through movement, inquiry, and community.
Somatic programs for dancers, artists, and curious movers — rooted in shared practice, reflection, and relational listening.
PERMEA
PERMEA is a space for somatic and relational learning—online and in person.
PERMEA cultivates sensitive, non-hierarchical spaces where somatic intelligence, relational practice, and creative exploration converge. Sessions, workshops, and programs focus on deep attention, impulse versus decision, experimentation, and working with questions rather than fixed methods or truths. Programs honor complexity, emotional depth, and trauma-informed principles, offering participants conditions for inquiry and self-reflection.
‘My artistic research and facilitation are inseparable. My work in performance, durational practice, and relational experimentation informs PERMEA’s approach, and choreographic work.’
Embodied Inquiries
The Body as field for creation and translation - 3 month Program
Program Overview
Embodied Inquiries is an online program for artists, movers, and thinkers who work with the body as a primary source of knowledge.
The body is approached as a thinking, sensing field shaped by memory, relation, and experience. Through somatic inquiry and movement-based research, we explore how bodily information becomes movement, language, relation, and creative form.
The work is grounded in structured movement improvisation and somatic practice, informed by contemporary dance, phenomenology, meditation, and relational inquiry.
Guiding Question
How can we attune to the body as a source of memory, insight, and meaning?
How do we translate somatic information into creative, relational, and practical forms that inform choice and action?
Method & Practice
This program works through questions rather than answers.
Across nine sessions, we engage in structured movement improvisation, somatic inquiry, relational work, and reflection to sense, notice, choose, and relate. Practices are guided by clear invitations and contemplations, working with desire, impulse, attention, gravity, anatomy, and imagination, honoring depth, complexity and play.
Container & Values
The program unfolds within sensitive, non-hierarchical environments grounded in deep attention, curiosity, and respect for complexity. Working through inquiry rather than instruction, sessions are guided by questions, invitations, and constraints, supporting both individual specificity and collective learning.
