In depth program
Somatic Relations is a 6-part online program in embodied inquiry. For those drawn to creative practice, relational awareness, and the body as a place of research and reimagination.
We engage with the body and the more-than-human world as sites of knowledge, returning to an intelligence that rests in each one of us. Asking what it means to return to this intelligence in times like these.
How uncertainty can become a place to practice resilience, imagination, and creative action.
We work at the intersection of movement, creative interventions, critical thinking and reimagination. The program is informed by phenomenology, deep ecology, improvisational frameworks, dance, and somatic practice. Facilitated by Roos Helena.

Questions you might have
-
The sessions are structured through the methodology of PERMEA, which works with perception, patterns, relation, altered continuation, and integration. So there is a clear frame and clear objectives, while still leaving space for what emerges through practice and through the group.
-
The program moves through a defined arc: listening, tension, traces of imprint, relational fields, reimagination and active hope, and ongoing practice. These themes are already held in the structure of the program. At the same time, how they are lived, sensed, and explored will be shaped by the people in the group and by what becomes perceptible through the process. So the methodology is clear, but the exact experience is not predetermined.
-
The program offers a structured embodied process with clear themes, practices, and intentions across six sessions. It is designed to support greater awareness of personal, social, and ecological patterns in the body; more space between reaction and response; deeper relational presence; expanded movement vocabulary; and more embodied ways and creative tools of working with creativity, resilience, and active hope in an unstable world.
-
It works through both, but movement and embodied inquiry are central. Reflection and dialogue are there to help articulate what becomes perceptible through practice, not to replace the practice. In PERMEA, the body is the primary site of inquiry, and language comes in to deepen integration, relation, and understanding.
-
This is not a therapy space, but an embodied artistic space where personal and sensitive material may arise. The intention is not therapeutic treatment or psychological analysis. The work is to make patterns of perception, response, movement, and relation perceptible, so they can be sensed and reflected on, while staying in an artistic, somatic, inquiry-based space.
PERMEA works through invitation rather than force, and through a clear awareness that bodies are shaped differently by history, relation, conditioning, and power. You decide how you participate, what you share, and how far you go. The structure is held clearly, but there is always room for pacing, choice, and different ways of engaging. -
Yes, in the sense that PERMEA understands bodies as shaped by history, social conditioning, power, relation, and environment. This means the work does not separate personal experience from the wider world. It does not ask people to adopt one fixed political view, but it does take seriously that what feels personal is often also social, relational, political and ecological.

This program is offered through a sliding scale, in the hope of making participation more accessible across different financial realities. Please choose the rate that feels most honest and workable for you at this time. If it stays difficult for you, please reach out.
